Shalamar's Uptown Festival is an album released by the American R&B group Shalamar in 1977. The title track, "Uptown Festival (Part 1)" is a medley of 1960s Motown hits. The album reached number 22 on the US Billboard 200 and number 8 on the US R&B chart. It features lead vocals by Jody Watley and Jeffrey Daniel and was produced by Leon Sylvers III. The album also includes the hit singles "Take That to the Bank" and "The Second Time Around". The success of the album helped to establish Shalamar as one of the premier American disco and R&B groups of the late 1970s and early 1980s.
